Fisher House Camp Pendleton Featured in Military Appreciation Resource Magazine
FIsher House Southern California was recently featured in an article in Military Appreciation Resource Magazine. The article tells the story of a young Marine Lance Corporal who benefited greatly by having his family stay at the Fisher House Camp Pendleton while he underwent surgery and follow-up treatment for his cancer.
When Kevin Gerodias was a young Marine Lance Corporal running exercises at Camp Pendleton during the summer of 2019, he began to develop stomach pains. At first, he thought he could work through them, and attributed them to strenuous workouts and possibly the food he was eating. But when his abdominal pains worsened and were compounded with bouts of fever, lack of appetite, significant weight loss, and even vomiting, Kevin knew something was seriously wrong.
